Car-battery charger
Kadlec, Josef ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is considered by projection and construction of the car battery charger with switching source. One-pulsed conducting changer is base of this charger. The charger is intended for accumulators of nominate voltage 6 and 12V. Accumulators are charged by method of constant voltage with current limitation of 0.5A, 5A, 20A and 50A. Value 50A has reason during stating of car for example in winter, because the charger helps to battery. The device is equipped with additional protection, which protects the charger and also the accumulator and the supply network. Three pilot lights are the next equipment of the device.
Design and construction of double laboratory power supply
Klein, Miroslav ; Šebesta, Jiří (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with design of double laboratory DC power supply with adjustable voltage and current limitation. Power supply can work in two states. First state allows regulation of output voltage from 0V to 40V and current limitation from 0A to 3A. In second state the range of output voltage is from 0V to 18V and output current can be set from 0A to 6A. Both supplies are galvanically separated and can work independently, or can be combined. Whole power supply is digitally controlled by microcontroller.
Switched power supply with current limiting
Staněk, Michal ; Brančík, Lubomír (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis is focused on design and construction of switched mode power supply with continuous regulation of output voltage and current. The Power supply is designed as a switching power supply to reduce its weight and dimensions. To reach better parameters, it consists of two separate converters. The first one is isolated step-down controller with transformer. It supplies output the second controller (adjustable) and the measuring section with stable voltage. Input converter is designed as a simple single-transistor flyback converter. The TOPSwitch circuit was selected to reduce number of components. Output bench power supply is non-isolated buck converter with single transistor. For second converter the TL594 was selected as a control circuit, which typical aplication was modified to fulfill requirement of the bench power supply. Processor ATmega16 was used to show both required and actual values of current and voltage on a display.
Verification series of fast-chargers for lead-acid accumulators 12V and 6V
Benada, Tomáš ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Vorel, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is an engineering design of an intelligent fast-charger for lead-acid accumulators. It contains calculations of each component. The switching power supply is the mainstay of the charger that makes the charger portable, lightweight and small. The Intelligent fast-charger for lead-acid accumulators charges the accumulator by method of constant voltage with current limitation of 0,5A, 5A, 10A, 50A. 50A current is used in winter during starting of a car, when the battery can´t provide sufficient current. There are three LEDs placed on the front side of the charger reflecting status of the device. The device comprises safety protection for the charger, supply network and battery.
The inverter based battery charger
Kadlec, Josef ; Pazdera, Ivo (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
The aim of this master’s thesis is provide detailed information about car battery’s charger with a switching power supply. The kind of this power supply is one-pulsed conducting inverter with transformer. The charger’s rates of nominal voltage are 6 and 12 V. The method of charging is charging by constantly voltage with a current limitation. The values of a current limitations are 0.5A, 5A and 20A. The charger’s maximal current is 50A. This current can help to the accumulator with starting of a vehicle. This device is equipped by indicators which indicate the end of charging.
Design of double stabilized power supply
Vlček, Pavel ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
This work deals with a design scheme of a laboratory power supply with high stability of output voltage and additional protections for safer operation of both powered device and the power supply itself. The work describes complex construction of power supply from the design of scheme in the simulator, through its tuning to the required parameters and the design of mains transformer to the construction and building of resulting device applicable in a laboratory. In addition, measuring and evaluation of achieved parameters, such as the ripple of the output voltage, the velocity of reaction current limitation, velocity of reaction the thermal electronic fuse are given.
